Last week we got our hands on the latest Diablo 4 patch, Patch 2.0.3 with a long list of fixes, changes, and reworks to multiple aspects of the game. It can be an absolute bore to flip through pages of Diablo 4 patch notes, so we did it for you!
Today, we’re highlighting some important changes in the latest Patch 2.0.3 for Diablo 4 to get you equipped to take on the Diablo 4 new season and Vessel of Hatred expansion released earlier this month.
We won’t include every change in the Diablo 4 patch since it’s a whole laundry list of changes, but we’ll highlight some important things to know that will affect your gameplay experience.

Kurast Undercity Changes
Kurast Undercity is one of the dungeons introduced with the new Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred expansion to help Diablo 4 players more efficiently level up and farm in one convenient location.
There are some pretty big changes to the Kurast Undercity dungeon to help streamline the player experience, improve the overall ‘value’ of rewards, and make it more accessible to Diablo 4 players who are in the process of leveling up.
- Completing Kurast Undercity dungeon rewards have improved –
- Increased random item drops.
- At least 1 Legendary item guaranteed.
- 2x Gold drops.
- ‘Extra Health’ monster Affix minions no longer spawn.
- Bosses and greater afflicted monsters’ health pools reduced. Now at levels with similar dungeons.
- The number of normal monster mobs spawned from the Spirit Beacon encounter has been slightly reduced to improve clarity for the objective.
- Players can now obtain ‘Tribute of Titans’ as drops outside of defeating Diablo 4 bosses.
Season of Hatred Rising Updates
Additionally, there are also some pretty big changes for the Diablo 4 new Season of Hatred Rising, in particular, related to the widely hated ‘Realmwalker’ Diablo 4 event. Yes, we know, it isn’t particularly ‘fun’. Hopefully, these changes can make it a bit more tolerable at the very least –
Realmwalker Event changes –
- Now, if only one person is following Realmwalker, spawns are not reduced.
- Max spawns increased to 20 from 15.
- Realmwalker base movement speed increased by ~15%.
- Killing a Bloodbound Guardians wave increases Realmwalker’s movement speed by 10%. For example: If you kill all 3 waves of Bloodbound Guardians, the Realmwalker will move 30% faster, in addition to the 15% base increase.
- Treasure Goblins now have a low chance of being summoned from Realmwalker.
Aside from these changes to the Season of Hatred Rising and the Kurast Undercity dungeon, most of the other Diablo 4 updates are for balance changes, misc bug fixes, and the overall UI and user experience.
One great change that we want to highlight is that we’ve finally received a change to how damage numbers are displayed. Now instead of showing ‘100,000’ which can be hard to check while you’re playing, it’ll abbreviate it to ‘100k’.
And that’s pretty much the most important things to know with the latest Diablo 4 patch 2.0.3. That said, if you’re looking for a bit of help and need some rare in-game Diablo 4 items, check out U7BUY to find D4 items for sale to ease the grind!
